Our premium replacement for your OEM filter contains 6.8 Kilograms of activated carbon and zeolite mix just like the original, but uses the far more effective potassium permanganate catalytic oxidant found in IQAir’s products rather than the less effective potassium iodine your original filter came with. Austin Air™ does not say why they switched to the cheaper, less effective blend, but perhaps their steel end caps were not rust resistant enough compared to our durable aluminum end caps. You will find the same large amount of pelted medical grade HEPA media inside as well. A better filter at a better price. While rated for the same five years of filter life as Austin’s when used in America or other localities with less severe pollution, HEPAChina™ recommends replacement after two years in Beijing/Hebei Province and other heavily polluted urban areas and once every three years elsewhere in China. Your choice of a black or white pre-filter is included.  Made in USA.
